DIVISION RULES & GUIDELINES

We operate our circuit wrestling events with precision, featuring pre-scheduled division times, strong organization, and a focus on true competitive athletes.

01
Athletes must weigh in at or below their registered weight class — no allowances. All weigh-ins are conducted on-site using official TRUE Wrestler scales.
02
No satellite weigh-ins. No shortcuts. All teams weigh in at the same location, at the same scheduled time for each age group — ensuring a fair and level playing field.
03
Athletes compete in the division that matches their AGE ELIGIBILITY AS OF JAN 1ST, 2026.
04
Shot Clock – 1st Period
The period always begins in the neutral position.
If there is no score after 30 seconds, a shot clock is assigned to the passive wrestler.
The passive wrestler then has 30 seconds to score.
If they fail to score, the active wrestler is awarded 1 point.
Immediately following that sequence, the active wrestler is also placed on a 30-second shot clock.
No shot clock will be used when wrestlers are in the top/bottom (referee’s) position.
05
Team Tie-Breaking Criteria: In the event of a tie score dual meet, a coin flip of the referee Flip Disc will determine team decisions. The coach of the team winning the coin flip will select the weight class to be wrestled. The opposing coach will then choose the starting position. Only neutral or bottom can be chosen . Coin flip losing teams wrestler will be on bottom if that position is chosen. The selected wrestlers will then compete in an untimed sudden-victory format, wrestling until the first point is scored, which will determine the winner of the dual
06
Athletes may register in one or more age-division weight classes per event. Competing up in age is permitted; competing below an athlete's age at weigh-ins is not.
07
All matches follow TRUE Wrestler hybrid format guidelines, utilizing modified periods and bracket structures to maximize competition and match count.
08
Free Agent athletes will be pooled and assigned to teams prior to event day. The TRUE Wrestler team builder system ensures balanced and competitive matchups for all participants.
